SCOTT STAPP - Justify

Scott Stapp es un cantante estadounidense que tuvo sus días de fama con la conocida banda de rock alternativo Creed.

Eran los años noventa, y surgía un movimiento alternativo al mismo grunge, conocido como post-grunge. El post-grunge tenía el mismo sonido del grunge -y su misma estética-, pero era mucho más propenso a salir por la radio, y las bandas del género firmaban con grandes sellos discográficos. Dicho de otra forma, el post-grunge era la versión más comercial del grunge. Algunas de las bandas de esta corriente son Foo Fighters, Nickelback, Matchbox Twenty y la misma Creed.

Justify pertenece al álbum The Great Divide, y a pesar de no tener un videoclip oficial, es un temazo. Creo que tiene ese aire a indignación y rabia que le queda tan bien a ese género de desadaptados, y que a mí me gusta mucho en particular.

Según Wikipedia:

Después de crear una amistad con el guitarrista Mark Tremonti, Stapp y Tremonti decidieron formar una banda después de reclutar al bajista Brian Marshall y al baterista Scott Phillips, nace Creed en el año 1995. Después de grabar tres discos, Creed era unas de las bandas de rock más exitosas desde a mediados de los 90s hasta a principios del 2000. En el 2004, Creed anuncia oficialmente su separación, y Stapp comienza a trabajar en su primer disco en solitario, The Great Divide, que fue lanzado en noviembre del 2005. Los otros miembros de Creed formaron la banda Alter Bridge junto al vocalista Myles Kennedy.

A decir verdad no todo el grunge es basura. Ciertamente esta generación tiene joyitas para los amantes del rock.
